Acupuncture for Alcohol / Drug Addition

Acupuncture detoxification treatments have been recognized in many states including Texas, as a valid form of therapy for chemical dependency problems. The treatment technique used involving very fine acupuncture needles placing in the patient's ear points with mild, painless electro-stimulation. The patients usually feels the flow of current as they relax and feeling of asleep during the 45 to 60 minutes treatment session. Ear pallets or press pins are placed on the ear after each treatment for continued stimulation. It is a new approach to relieve the withdrawal syndrome and counteracting alcohol/drug addiction itself.
